(二)General definition of mold

In industrial production, with a variety of presses and special tools installed on the press, through the pressure to make metal or non-metal materials into the required shape of parts or products, this special tool is collectively known as the mold.
Application scope: machinery, automobile, light industry, household appliances, petroleum, chemical, electric power and other industrial equipment manufacturing and use departments, aviation engine key wear-resistant parts, hot extrusion die, warm extrusion film, hot forging touch, rolling steel guide, rolling wheel, automobile engine camshaft and other parts and dies.

(三)Classification of molds

1. General classification: it can be divided into plastic mould and non-plastic mould:

(1) non plastic mold: casting mold, forging mold, stamping die, die casting mold, etc. Noun Tips:

Forging is solid – after heating or solid – forging molding; Casting is solid — heated to liquid — cast — cooled to form.

A. The Casting Mould can be made of wood, machinable plastic, aluminum alloy, cast iron, steel and so on. At present, wood mold is still widely used in manual molding or small batch production of single piece, but with the limitation of environmental protection requirements and poor wood processing performance, solid mold casting will take its place. Solid mold casting is made of foam plastic sheets, cut and pasted into shape, and then cast. Compared with wood molds, this method has short cycle and low cost.

B. Forging mold — car body (more than 20,000 are needed for one car mold)

C. Stamping Mould — computer panel

(2) According to the production process and the production of different products, the plastic mold is divided into:

The so-called plastic injection mold, is in advance in two or more pieces of mold special metal above the excavation of an empty cavity. Then, through high pressure, the melted plastic particles are injected into the cavity, and the molds for plastic products are taken out after cooling. At present, more than 90% of the plastic products in our daily life are made by injection molding.

Market prospect? Large capacity, wide application, already saturated.

Injection molding is the most commonly used method in plastic processing. This method is applicable to all thermoplastics and part of thermosetting plastics, plastic products made the great number of them is the other forming methods of dust, as the main tool of injection molding processing, one of the injection mould, the quality of precision, manufacturing cycle and injection molding production efficiency in the process of the level of high and low, directly affect the product quality, yield, cost and product updates, at the same time also determines the enterprise in the market competition ability and speed of reaction.

Injection mold is composed of A number of steel plates with various parts, basically divided into :A molding device (concave die, punch)

B. Positioning device (guide post, guide sleeve)C. Fixing device (I-plate, code pit)D. Cooling system (water hole)

E Constant temperature system (heating tube, hairline)

F runner system (jacking hole, runner groove, runner hole)

G ejector system (thimble, ejector)

Injection molding process: Injection mold is a tool for the production of plastic products. It consists of several sets of parts in which the mold cavity is formed. When injection molding, the mold is clamped in the injection molding machine, the molten plastic is injected into the mold cavity, and the cooling in the cavity is finalized, and then the upper and lower molds are separated, through the ejecting system will be products from the mold cavity out of the mold, and finally the mold is closed for the next injection molding, the whole injection molding process is carried out in a cycle.

Blister mold: Blister mold production, the lowest cost is gypsum mold, followed by electroplating copper mold, the most expensive is aluminum mold. The mold is drilled with small holes for vacuum adsorption of thermalized hard pieces to form plastic products.
