Step seven: Selection of steel for PVC pipe fitting mold

The selection of materials for the molding parts (cavity, core) of PVC pipe fittings mold is mainly determined according to the batch size of the product and the type of plastic. For high-gloss or transparent PVC pipe fittings, S136H and other types of martensitic corrosion-resistant stainless steel or age-hardening steel are mainly used. For pipe fittings with glass fiber reinforcement, SKD61 and other types of quenched steel with high wear resistance should be used. When making CPVC pipe fitting mold, especially when the products contain flame retardants, corrosion-resistant stainless steel must be used.
