So what is the difference between PVC and PPR pipes and fittings?
1. Different materials. PVC pipes (pipe fittings) are made of polyvinyl chloride with bright colors, corrosion resistance and durability. The PPR pipe (pipe fitting) is made of random copolymer polypropylene.
2. Color. PPR pipe is hard and bright. PVC pipe is milky white and harder than PPR. The cross-section of the PVC pipe is not shiny, but its outer surface is shiny.
3. Wall thickness. The wall thickness of PPR, the thin wall of PVC.
4. PPR pipe has the advantages of light weight and long service life. The installation of PPR pipes is very convenient, because PPR has good welding performance and can be used with heat welders or electric welders. PVC is heavier than PPR and has better corrosion resistance, but it is not resistant to high temperatures. PVC pipes are usually used to transport drinking water, waste water, chemicals, cold and hot water. When transporting cold water, the service life of PVC pipes is longer.
