Step four: Design of the gating system

The design of the gating system includes the selection of the main runner of the PVC pipe mold, and the determination of the cross-sectional shape and size of the runner. The proper choice of gate location will directly affect the molding quality of PVC pipe fittings and whether the injection process can proceed smoothly.

1. The gate position should be selected as far as possible on the parting surface to facilitate the processing of PVC pipe fitting mold and the cleaning of the gate.

2. The distance between the gate position and each part of the cavity should be as consistent as possible, and the plastic process should be the shortest.

3. The gate position should ensure that when the plastic is injected into the cavity, it faces the wide, thick-walled part of the PVC pipe mold cavity to facilitate the inflow of the plastic.

4. Try to avoid the weld marks of PVC pipe fittings. If they are to be produced, the melting marks should be produced in unimportant parts of the pipe fittings, which will not affect the normal use of the PVC pipe fitting mold.

5. The gate position and its plastic injection direction should be such that the plastic can flow evenly along the parallel direction of the cavity when it is injected into the cavity, and it is conducive to the discharge of gas in the cavity.

Step five: Design of the ejection system of the PVC pipe fitting mold .The ejection form of the product, the mechanical ejection is the last link in the injection molding process. The quality of the ejection will ultimately determine the quality of the product. Therefore, the ejection of the product cannot be ignored. The following principles should be observed when designing the ejector system:

1. In order to prevent the product from deforming due to ejection, the thrust point should be as close as possible to the core or the part that is difficult to demold, such as the elongated hollow cylinder on the product, which is mostly ejected by the push tube. The arrangement of thrust points inside the PVC pipe mold should be as balanced as possible.

2. The thrust point should act on the part where the product can withstand the greatest force, and the part with good rigidity, such as the interface of the Tee pipe fitting mold.

3. Try to avoid the ejection marks from affecting the appearance of the product, and the ejection device should be installed on the hidden surface or non-decorative surface of the product. For transparent products, pay particular attention to the selection of the location and ejection form.

4. In order to make the force of the PVC pipe fittings uniform during ejection and avoid the deformation of the product due to vacuum adsorption, composite ejection or special forms of ejection systems are often used, such as push rods, push plates or push rods, and push pipes. Composite ejector, or use air intake push rod, push block and other setting devices, if necessary, an air intake valve should be set in the PVC pipe fitting mold.

Step 6: Design of cooling system for PVC pipe fitting mold. The design of the cooling system is a relatively tedious task, and the cooling effect, the uniformity of cooling and the influence of the cooling system on the overall structure of the mold must be considered. The design of the cooling system includes the following:

1. The arrangement of the cooling system and the specific form of the cooling system.

2. Determination of the specific location and size of the cooling system.

3. Cooling of key parts such as moving model cores or inserts.

4. Cooling of side slide and side slide core.

5. The design of cooling originals and the selection of cooling standard originals.
